thud productions
Kansas City’s newest, boldest theatre company.
KC Fringe 2023
… and just like that, our fourth year of producing at the Kansas City Fringe Festival has wrapped. Not only is this the most technically ambitious show that we’ve produced to date, it also the most challenging in terms of content.
CRAVE by Sarah Kane is a great example of the kind of literature that we love to bring to life. Under-appreciated and under-produced theatre that inspires thought and conversation.
You can read our official Fringe review by Chris McCoy from the Nelson Atkins Museum at the link below.

Our team put in so much hard work to bring this challenging show to life.

THUD studios
Thank you to everyone who donated to our campaign to complete THUD Studios. We raised $900 and are so incredibly grateful for your support.
This permanent rehearsal studio located in the Marlborough Heights neighborhood of South Kansas City is going to be game-changer for THUD Productions. Having this space to serve as our home base will enable us to begin producing on a regular basis.
More than that, though, THUD Studios will be a new and affordable option for Kansas City theatre artists to rent for rehearsals. The space will be available in 4-hour time blocks and will be stocked with rehearsal essentials.
The goal of this space is to encourage independent, local artists to produce more theatre to make it clear that Kansas City theatre is more than just a handful of companies that have their own stages.
THUD Studios will be completed in spring, 2024.
